Carolina People: Jenny Marvel

After studying Jusepe de Ribera’s “Portrait of a Knight of Santiago,” Jenny Marvel was so inspired she walked 500 miles across Northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. There are parallels, she said, between how she lives and how she teaches as the head of school and community programs at the Ackland Art Museum. "It is about slowing down, looking closely and being aware of everything that you notice."
